In today's world, GenAI has lowered the cost of cheating existing systems, such as claims, credentials, and even live interviews. Hireal's mission is to restore trust at scale. Hiring is the first beachhead, and the RealMe engine is the trust layer that powers it.

Mission:
Restore trust at scale in the GenAI era. We believe hiring should be a fair field where claims are checked, evidence is cited, and good people win on merit.
Vision:
The same foundation will support other workflows that depend on verified claims and fair decisions, such as vendor diligence, partner onboarding, creator and contractor authenticity, and admissions-style evaluations. It's anything that requires background verification, and for the right reason.

We are a small team that ships fast with care, united by the goal to restore trust in the GenAI era and make hiring fair and just. We have the stability to keep compounding—Simon is Canadian, Alice and Wen are U.S. permanent residents, we can build here for the long term without immigration uncertainty.
We come from a similar background that prizes diligence, responsibility, and honesty. We do the work ourselves, we do not cut corners, and we carry those values into how we evaluate claims and present findings.

The People Behind the Magic
We have worked together since May 2025 after meeting through Cornell and Bay Area founder communities. We built the first Hireal prototype in person in Palo Alto and have continued to iterate side by side. All founders have met and collaborated in person.

Product roadmap and frontend development
Defines the product roadmap and ships production code on the frontend and integrations. Recent work includes voice and file intake, the componentized hiring workflow, ATS/calendar/email connectors, and the Utilities dropdown.
Alice Wang
Development Lead
Backend, dataflow, and APIs
Owns backend, dataflow, APIs, and performance. Designed the RealityCheck (RealAPI) engine, the PostgreSQL schema, screening pipelines, consistency/fraud detectors, and CI/testing. All merges are reviewed by Alice.
Wen Liu
Design Lead
HR workflows and component library
Translates HR workflows into usable product. Owns IA, the component library (scorecards, evidence cards, status and confirmation panels), accessibility, and release polish so complex flows feel simple.
Kelly Yu
UI/UX Designer
User flows and visual design
Improves user flows and visual design; contributes Figma specs, design tokens, empty states, and microcopy. Frontend style changes land through founder review.
